Qatar the Mediation Nation

The Washington Post has an excellent article on Qatar’s embrace of mediation on the international stage. Qatar is actively seeking to play the role of mediator in multiple international conflicts. There is immense wisdom in this strategy. By playing the mediator, Qatar promotes peace AND helps foster much needed change. The role of mediator allows Qatar to demonstrate care and concern for their neighbors but remain removed from partisan politics. Mediation is a powerful tool for change. It embraces the needs of others and allows for dialogue and deliberation. Kudos to the State of Qatar for choosing this path!
